The Children’s Choir of Rome
Rhonda AbouHana has been a choral music educator for more than 20 years in the United States and Italy. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, U.S.A., Rhonda is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland, having earned advanced degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance. In the U.S., Rhonda taught general music and conducted the choirs in private schools in Baltimore and Richmond and has adjudicated choral festivals.
She is comfortable training voices and choirs of all ages and musical styles and has been recognized for her ability to achieve a “well- rounded choral sound and musicality” in her ensembles. Rhonda also teaches private voice lessons to children, teenagers, and adults, emphasizing sound vocal technique, artistry, body awareness, and enjoyment. Rhonda is a singer herself and performs regularly as a soloist and a choir member. She is currently a member of the New Chamber Singers and is the soprano section leader/soloist at St. Paul’s Within the Walls. Rhonda feels strongly that participation in a high quality musical ensemble leads to self-confident, compassionate, musically literate, creative, community oriented global citizens and leaders. |
